The Curate’s Corner
Many people come into our lives and make little difference. Very few will leave an indelible mark that will last a lifetime. The impact that Andrew, Heather and family have had on so many lives across Drumglass Parish, was very evident as we said thank you and farewell to them recently. Personally, I am immeasurably grateful to Andrew for all that he has so willingly taught and shared with me, as we ministered together. His mark on my life is permanent.
As we enter this season of vacancy, please continue to pray for the life, witness and future of this great parish. There is much to give thanks for and celebrate, but there is much still to do, as we continue to faithfully proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ in our community.
Christmas is a very special time of year, one which allows us to gather together to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. We know the story well; the angels sang, the shepherds followed and the wise men came. The glory of Christmas however, is not just a story. The true glory of Christmas is, that Jesus Christ came to this Earth to dwell with us. As we remember Jesus coming, let us consider what difference He makes to our lives today. The real glory of Christmas is Emmanuel – a God who is with us every day, in everything that we do.
Please take the opportunity to invite your family, friends and neighbours to some of our special events this Christmas - everyone can be assured of a very warm welcome at all of our activities and services over the Christmas period.
Wishing you a very peaceful Christmas and a happy and healthy 2020. Graham
