BCM Christmas Appeal - Closing Date 16th December
BCM’s Christmas Support Programme has not only a financial aspect, as the food and toy parcels are distributed, but it also gives hope and emotional support to those who struggle.
Thanks to the public’s financial, volunteer and prayerful support in 2017, BCM distributed over to children and young people and to older people and families who needed them most.
Please remember that all gifts should be new, safe, non-perishable and unwrapped and suitable for all ages. Here are some suggestions for donations:
0-3 years: dolls, teddy bears, cot mobiles, baby clothes, bath toys, CDs of suitable music and nursery rhymes, puzzles. Because of the high number of newborn babies and young babies, knitted cardigans, blankets, nappies and soft toys/baby toys are most acceptable.
3-5: dolls and action figures, cars, lorries, DVDs and CDs (music and nursery rhymes), colouring sets, pencils, crayons, books, puzzles
5-9: educational games & toys, stationery (colouring sets, pencils, crayons, school sets), CDs & family friendly DVDs, books, puzzles, word-searches , crosswords
9-12: games and toys, stationery, CDs, DVDs, books, T-Shirts, hair accessories, gloves, scarves, hats
13-16: CDs, DVDs, books, make-up and toiletries (please try to ensure non-allergic ingredients if possible), nightwear, gloves, scarves, hats, T-Shirts, hair accessories, plus vouchers (maximum amount £10) from any source.
16 – 25 coats/jumpers/scarves/hats/gloves/towels/blankets/dressing gowns, pyjamas, slippers etc or toiletry sets, bath/shower sets, make up, aftershave etc.
