Our Beliefs

Drumglass Parish works in partnership with other churches in the local area known as the Diocese of Armagh. This in turn is part of a larger denomination—the Church of Ireland—which is part of a global family of Anglican churches right across the world, with more than 85 million members in over 165 countries. Tracing our roots back to the early church, we hold the word of God, the Bible, to have ultimate authority in our life and worship.

Holy Scripture containeth all things necessary to salvation: so that whatsoever is not read therein, nor may be proved thereby, is not to be required of any man, that it should be believed as an article of the Faith, or be thought requisite or necessary to salvation.

Under the authority of the Bible, we believe the ancient creeds of the church, along with the 39 Articles of Religion.

The Three Creeds, Nicene Creed, Athanasius’ Creed, and that which is commonly called the Apostles’ Creed, ought thoroughly to be received and believed: for they may be proved by most certain warrants of Holy Scripture.
